X-ray Diffraction Laboratory

This information is intended for users of the X-ray Diffraction Laboratory and is specific for the operation of the instruments located in rooms 2407, 2409 (Chemistry) and 027 Teague
(Reference see DOE 10_CFR_835 and visit Texas A&M Radiation Safety).

  1. Complete Texas A & M Universities Radiation Safety Training Course 
  2. Read and understand the information in the Site Specific Training program
  3. Fill out the on-line Application
  4. Complete the Safety Checklist and Certification form and return to the X-ray Diffraction Laboratory Manager

This course is a web-based course that can be completed in about 30 mins.

  2. Choose General Radiation Producing Device Training (Online)

YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS COURSE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE YOUR TRAINING!

You will need Proof of the EHSD X-ray Devices: Radiation Safety Training to complete this training and have access to the X-ray Instruments.

Bring the Certificate of Completion from the TEXAS A & M General Radiation Safety Training Web based or Classroom course and the signed SAFETY CHECK LIST (see below) to the X-ray Diffraction Laboratory (room 2408, Chemistry) when you take your on-site training.

Bring the Texas A & M University General Radiation Attendance/Completion certificate to room 2408.
